Hi, I’m Grace! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

After reading Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project in Jan 2017, I was struck by her constant mantra of self-affirmation: “Be Gretchen.”

I’m not always good at accepting myself for who I am. In fact, sometimes I’m downright terrible at it. But through my health and wellness journey, I’ve found so many inspiring women out there who have changed my life and challenged me to become more vibrant, more vulnerable, and more authentic.

So I started wondering… what does it mean to be Gracefully Me? And how can I share my journey and empower others out there who are trying to find the first step?

I’m not an expert in any of the topics you’ll find on this blog; instead, I want to show that you don’t have to be a fitness coach or superstar chef to make smart changes in your life. Any step in a healthy, mindful direction is a great start – whether it’s eating smarter, starting a workout routine, adopting productive and self-aware habits, or slowing down to think about what you want from life.

I’m a twentysomething writer and live in the quirky city of Richmond, VA. I take too many pictures of my cat (or so my family tells me). I work as a project manager at a software development company, so I spend a lot of time lurking in the back end of WordPress!

I’m a longtime art journaler and blogger but never put all of my interests in one pot until this particular blog.
